Citizen Watch Company has signed Victoria Azarenka, the #1 player on the WTA Tour, as the newest international Brand Ambassador for the Citizen Eco-Drive Unstoppable media campaign. Citizen makes this announcement on the occasion of Citizen’s 20thAnniversary as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the US Open Tennis Championships, held in Flushing Meadows, New York.
Ms. Azarenka enters this year’s US Open as the top seed, fresh from winning two Olympic medals for her native Belarus and also with an Australian Open women’s singles championship to her name. She joins an inspiring group of Citizen Eco-Drive Brand Ambassadors including Eli Manning, New York Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion; Kim Clijsters, 4-Time Grand Slam tennis champion; Matt Kenseth, two-time Daytona 500 champion; and Paula Creamer, U.S. Women’s Open golf champion; along with Toronto Maple Leaf’s captain Dion Phaneuf in Canada, and cricket star Kevin Pietersen in the U.K.
